What is Wealthy Affiliate and is it a Scam?
Wealthy Affiliate is an online business platform that claims to offer expert training, premium support, and a proven approach to generating an income online. But when it comes to real member feedback – do their offerings stack up? Do they truly provide even the least experienced internet user an opportunity to make a living online?
It depends who you ask, but the majority of subscribers will defend WA with every bone in their body. Not so fast, though. It’s not all sunshine and roses. Some people do fail – it’s unavoidable. Whether the failure is a direct result of the service being subpar or simply a lack of effort/dedication on the individual’s part is up for interpretation.
Below you will find a list of complaints that have been echoed about Wealthy Affiliate – you be the judge on whether these complaints hold water or not.
A Listing of The Most Common Wealthy Affiliate Complaints:
1.) “It Takes Too Long to Make Money Online With Wealthy Affiliate”
This is a legitimate objection to a certain degree, but you can’t expect to immediately start making money online without building your foundation first. That foundation includes both knowledge, and of course, a website. When you start building the framework of your website, Wealthy Affiliate makes this step easy, but it still takes time to fill it up with content and earn the trust of search engines. Quality content results in high search engine rankings, which in turn produces traffic to your site, and ultimately sales.
Of course it takes time to make money with Wealthy Affiliate – you’re building a business for goodness sake! On the plus side, it’s substantially cheaper to pursue an online “information” business, as opposed to the classic avenues like your own “brick and mortar” store or franchise. Taking those paths typically require a substantial amount of capital up front, ranging from $5,000-50,000+. An affiliate marketing business on the other hand, can be started with a minimal investment of $500 or less.
2.) “Wealthy Affiliate Offers Too Much Information – It’s Overwhelming”
This is true to a point as well, but why complain about all of the value you’re receiving as a member? That should be an advantage in your development as an online business owner, not a burden. The easiest way to negate the “overwhelming” aspect of Wealthy Affiliate is to take everything one step at a time, stay organized, and be patient. Once you get used to the layout of the site and begin to interact within the platform, you realize within a day or two that it’s not as mind-boggling as you think.
Don’t allow yourself to fall victim to Paralysis by Analysis – a state of over-thinking a situation, resulting in paralysis (lack of action). Luckily, the owner of Wealthy Affiliate will provide a tutorial that will walk you through every aspect of the platform. If watched, there should be no confusion. The training is task-based, which allows you to jump right in and start taking noticeable steps in building your business. If you immerse yourself in the community and take action on what you learn, then there’s no doubt that you can and will exceed your goals.
Bottom line – members of Wealthy Affiliate succeed at the highest rate of any online business building platform.
Conclusion – Does Wealthy Affiliate Work and is it For Me?
To be completely honest with you, I’m a believer in the power of Wealthy Affiliate. As a member of the service for nearly two years, I’ve experienced my fair share of success, and foresee additional success in the future. It takes hard work, which may not appear to be rewarded in the beginning, but if you stick to the core concepts, you’ll find that online success is cumulative in nature – many accomplished internet entrepreneurs describe it as a “snowball-effect”.
Having my own, or hearing other members’ complaints, is so rare that I had quite a difficult time writing this post. The fact is, subscribers are consistently satisfied with the services they receive at Wealthy Affiliate. In my own experience, I can vouch that Wealthy Affiliate is 99% responsible for my personal online business success. I’ve been where you are and felt the way you feel. Is it possible to build a profitable online business with the training and community at WA? I was skeptical at first too, but yes, it most certainly is.
