Methods to Ranking Your Website in the Search Engines:
Every website shares a common goal – generating traffic. And one of the best ways to accomplish this goal is through a process called search engine optimization. In order to optimize your website for the “Big 3” search engines (Google, Bing, and Yahoo), your website needs to publish quality content consistently and have social value. Such factors prove two things: that you’re website is helping people and the content is worth sharing with others.
The search engine “spiders” or “bots” are able to “crawl” your site in order to figure out what it’s about and decide if it’s providing value to visitors. If the spiders believe that your site is valuable, the higher your pages and posts will rank for particular keywords. As mentioned earlier, what the spiders like to see is quality content, which is proven through engagement (visitor comments) and social shares (Facebook likes, Tweets, +1’s, tags, etc.). Of course, focusing on keywords can help rank your content to a certain degree, but the most significant objective is to provide information that people want or need → Quality Content.
